We're Andrea Spyros and Nancy DeFina, partners in BD3 Solutions. We help people, teams, and organizations stop relying on willpower and start designing for the change they actually want.
Who We Help
The science of Behavior Design works the same way for a high school junior trying to keep up with assignments, a CEO trying to lead a stronger team, and a single parent trying to finally finish that creative project. What changes is the context, not the principles.
How We Came Together
Every partnership has an origin story. Ours began in 2020, when Dr. BJ Fogg released Tiny Habits: The Small Changes That Change Everything and invited us to a 10-week Live Course: part book club, part masterclass. For two nerdy people who love behavior change, it was kind of a dream.
Basically, we met at school.
Nancy was training work-from-home entrepreneurs and leading sales teams. Her people were smart and capable, but on their own all day, which is exactly the kind of environment where productivity can fall apart. She was looking for something to add to her toolkit, something that could give her trainees a real system for succeeding more easily, not just another pep talk about discipline.
Andrea was speaking and consulting in the gift industry and raising two teenagers as a single parent. Having been a champion teenage procrastinator herself, she could see how much this work could help her kids. Once she understood that behavior is something you can actually design for, she knew this was a body of work she wanted to keep building on, both for them and for the leaders, retailers, and teams she worked with.
We certified in Dr. BJ Fogg's groundbreaking Behavior Design framework and the Tiny Habits® Method, developed at the Stanford Behavior Design Lab, and both joined the leadership team of the Tiny Habits Academy and ultimately started working together as BD3 Solutions.

Dr. BJ Fogg is the founding Director of the Behavior Design Lab at Stanford University, where he directs research and innovation that helps millions of people improve their lives. His seminal book, Persuasive Technology: Using Computers to Change What We Think and Do, about how computers can be designed to influence attitudes and behaviors, together with his early innovations, inspired an annual global academic conference on the topic. Heralded as a thought leader and a “New Guru You Should Know” by Fortune Magazine, his research and innovation has been cited over 20,000 times. BJ’s Stanford students have gone on to co-found Instagram, as well as launch a global movement focusing on “time well spent” and the Center for Humane Technology. BJ is also the New York Times bestselling author of Tiny Habits: The Small Changes That Change Everything.
